Jeff DeFran is a versatile veteran sports broadcaster having worked in the Ann Arbor and Detroit markets for over 25 years, returning to 1050 AM for the 4th time in his career, each time under different ownership. He currently is a host of the Big Show from 3-6pm on Wednesday and Thursdays.

Jeff DeFran has served southeastern Michigan radio listeners as a sports talk show host, sportscaster, news anchor and reporter, as well as working behind the microphone as a program director, news director and sports director.

Jeff has won several broadcasting awards during his career. He has served as a host for several coaches shows, anchored pre-game and post-game shows for the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, University of Michigan football and basketball along with Nascar and open wheel racing at Michigan International Speedway.

Jeff has lived his entire life in the Detroit area and attended Schoolcraft College and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. He is a single father of two grown children.
